Creative Ice pack

Create your own ice pack for  3 $ and physical therapy

A wonderful trick in rehabilitation is an icepack made of a gallon zip lock bag and Karo Corn syrup.  You need 2 zip lock bags and a bottle of Karo Corn Syrup. The ice pack can help with inflammation, swelling, and pain. Ice packs should not be used longer than 30 minutes at a time and should not be used if there is a contraindication (restriction for use medically) for use.

This bottle at Target is listed at 2.69$. You pour this out into the gallon zip lock bag then you cover it again for a protective barrier.

Ziploc Freezer Bags Gallon 28 count

The ziploc bags are listed from Walmart for at 4$.   So that is about 14 cents per bag if there are 28 of them as listed.

So the total cost is about 3 dollars. You place it in the freezer and it forms into a perfect ice pack that is malleable.  It forms perfectly to any area of the body.

  1. May I suggest that you use more tags than back pain? You might snag more people who would really appreciate this info. Neck pain, sprained whatever, swelling, neck and shoulder pain. Good luck!! I will continue to learn from you!!
